Skatescool (SS) – Skate Rules & Waiver
By entering this venue, you agree to these terms of service. Entry is conditional on reading and following all rules.
General Rules
Socks must be worn with hire skates.
No food or drink on the rink.
Skate anti-clockwise unless directed otherwise by staff.
Always follow SS staff instructions—they are for your safety.
Report injuries to staff immediately. First aid and ice packs are available.
No carrying children or others on the rink.
No pushing, rough play, or unsafe behaviour.
Skate within your ability and respect others.
Hire skates must not be worn outside.
Using Your Own Skates
Skates must be clean before entering.
No protruding bolts, worn wheels, or damaged stoppers.
You are responsible for the maintenance and safety of your own skates. SS may refuse unsafe equipment.
Liability & Disclaimer
Roller skating is an extreme sport – you participate at your own risk.
SS is not liable for injury, accidents, loss, or damage to people, property, or clothing, however caused.
Protective gear (wrist, knee, and elbow pads) are available and recommended. Bring your own helmet if required.
SS is not responsible for accidents caused by venue structures, hire skates, equipment, or the actions of other skaters.
Conduct & Safety
SS may remove anyone without refund for unsafe behaviour, intoxication, nuisance, or failure to follow staff directions.
Skating is not advised if you have high blood pressure, heart/back/neck problems, brittle bones, joint injuries, pregnancy, epilepsy, or any condition aggravated by physical activity. Consult a doctor first.
Events may include flashing or strobe lighting.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult/guardian at all times. Unaccompanied children will be removed from the rink until collected.
Photography
By attending, you consent to SS using event photos for promotional, digital, and print media. To opt out, please notify us by email.

These rules are in place to keep you safe, protect our equipment, and ensure everyone enjoys their skating experience.
